Homemade Facial Night Cream Recipe
Homemade recipe for a night cream that leaves your face soft and nourished.

Ingredients

3 tablespoons lanolin
1 tablespoon sunflower oil
1 tablespoon almond oil
1 teaspoon oil of lavender
Directions

Melt the lanolin in a double boiler, or in a bowl over a pot of boiling water.

Add the sunflower and almond oil. Beat well to combine.

Remove from the heat and let it cool.

Beat as the mixture thickens, then stir in the oil of lavender.

Pour into a small jar and cool completely before closing the lid.

Facial Cream with Ginger

2-inch piece of fresh ginger
2 tsp light sesame oil
2 tsp apricot kernel oil
2 tsp vitamin E oil
½ cup cocoa butter

Grate the ginger and squeeze it over a small glass bowl to get the juice out. Discard the ginger pulp. Add the remaining ingredients and heat in the microwave on its lowest settings in 15 sec intervals until the cocoa butter is melted. Stir the ingredients in between heating.

Transfer the mixture to a clean glass jar and store in a cool place.

Bonnie, do you have access to an old book of home remedies kept by one of your forebears, or a special interest in such things?  I am rather lazy in using facial creams but that recipe sounds fragrant and delightful.

It is and very easy. A few receipes have been handed down, but most I obtained thru the Dairy Goat Journal magazine when we had the commercial goat dairy.

Some I have colected are from online sources.

I shouldn't admit it, but wemade soap at home till I was around 12. Sheer necessity for us, (I really am not that old)
