Johann:
What is your experiencde with bread baking machines?  :help:

tinka:
lol Johann, Its best and easiest the old way.  My family has been raised on all those hot rolls for so many years and when they still come to dinner that is the first question they ask. Sometimes thats all they feast on and then have food left overs. When I make them I ususally use 5 lbs of flour and the biggest wilton cake pan which when made individually makes 60 rolls. 6 across and 10 down. Kneaded individually after 1st rise. Instead of cake it is one big pan of beautiful rolls that are pull aparts. They end up being about 4 inches high and 3 in. wide each. Then they soon are history. Thanksgiving they all run for the pan first. When I was young an 80 some year old friend of my mother came to visit from Texas, and she showed me before she left. I bet some on here may even recall the names of Mae and Jess. If so give a shout if you remember them.

I never had good results with a bread machine using my whole wheat and white flour recipe.  It is just as easy for me to mix it up in the food processor, knead it a few times, and then set it to rise.  This way you can get more than one loaf at a time, or like Tinka said, lots of rolls.  Besides, I like the feel of the dough being kneaded.   :purr:

Now isn't that something, same with me. I really like the feel of it too. Plus it is great excercise for you. The feel lets you know if the dough is just right. Especially doing 5# at a time. you rock (forward)and roll (back) once you get it going for 8-10 minutes. lol
