Sentencing hearing tomorrow at 10 am.
« on: October 20, 2010, 02:24:10 PM »

Any ideas how this may go? Wonder who all will be there? It should be interesting if Judge Randy Bellows accepts the plea deal or not, or if Tommy will withdraw or accept the sentence handed down to him. Remember one thing...Tommy Shelton has plead guilty...Tomorrow if he withdraws the plea deal that makes him into more of a liar than he already is!

Tommorrow is Thursday, October 21st.  I think you meant to say Friday, October 22nd.

Preliminary Friday Motions Docket

The attorney/Prosecutor has several cases at the same time.  How does this work?  Is everyone in the same court room at the same time?

Who from Illinois is going?  Who has been at the previous hearings?  I wonder if the Washington Post will run another article.  They have after each of the other hearings.

I am not sure how it works. I have not attended any of the hearings.

I've never been to a sentencing hearing, but I've been in court literally hundreds of times on small claims cases. The way it works in those is everyone is there at the same time, and the judge calls the cases one by one. I'm assuming the sentencing hearings will work the same way.

It will be interesting to see who all shows up. I know Alex is flying out tomorrow morning.

MrsT53,  Are you able to go?  I believe I remember you saying that you lived in VA.

No, I have a mother with Alzheimers. If I didn't I would have liked to have been there. It's a 2 hour drive, but an interesting session.

Regardless of the trial outcome, Tommy still is a dangerous predator, who, like his brother, disguised his appetite for sex with his brand of Christianity.

Christianity has been the disguise for many atrocities, as has every other religion. By setting themselves up as spritually superior, people achieve total superiority over others, as God is greater than man. And no matter how outlandish and insane the demands and actions of the "annointed one" may be, there will always be people who unquestioningly follow.

There is a classic relationship that exists between abuser and abused. The abuser provides something of value to the abused, and sparingly gives recompense in tangible ways. Thus, the abused feels guilt at the prospect of exposing or decrying the abuse. It might harm someone who, although they abused the person, provided something of value. This relationship is a complex matter for which there are no simple "black and white" explanations, answers, or solutions.

Do you mean something such as providing a car to a person whom they sought favors from?

You have my sympathy in dealing with your own beloved mother. It seems unfair and we do not understand. Thank God for the promise of a kingdom with no more sickness.
