As you can see the intellectuals want serious constraints on the use of those writings:

There is no doubt that this is a very welcome announcement.  However, until there is widespread consensus by official Adventist church bodies that the opinions of EGW as expressed in the large corpus of materials written by and for her are not to be used to decide theological, scientific, cultural and historical matters for the corporate Adventist Church, the institutional Adventist tradition will continue to be dominated by a fundamentlist ethos. As long as EGW views are considered normative for Adventism, there is very little hope for the maturing of our tradition as a whole.  In the meantime, large segments of the church in the First World quietly and sometimes not so quietly discount and ignore many of EGW's views and this positive process will continue.

Why do you use the word Tradition?? Should any traditions be in our religion as SDAs? Only the Catholic Church holds on to traditions more than the Word of God. The true SDAs are the handlers of the True Word of God. No traditions should be found with them at all, but the Bible and the Bible alone. The writings of EGW are only an inhancer of the Bible. REPEAT AND ENLARGE. That's what you find a lot in the Bible and also in her writings.

And explain to me just why The Messenger of The Lord should not be used in tandem with the Bible to "decide theological, scientific, cultural and historical matters for the corporate Adventist Church"? It goes to the very HEART of our Fundemental Beliefs and there is NO ROOM for ERROR!!!

And other than humanistic "intellectuals" that make it a point of even challenging the Biblical Record as the Foundations of Faith, just who will we turn to avoid "fundementalist ethos?

And while you are at it, what is wrong with "FUNDEMENTALIST ETHOS"?

Can the intellectuals sincerely claim they have a better way to conduct warfare in the Great Controversy? DO they even believe in the Great Controversy between Good and Evil? And just where do intellectuals stand in the Great Controversy...GOOD or EVIL?
