3ABN sells 71 stations & construction permits
« on: March 17, 2017, 05:24:54 AM »

From a March 2015 piece at http://myemail.constantcontact.com/LPTV-INDUSTRY-NEWS---THU--MARCH-19--2015.html?soid=1116948470874&aid=eKKPTctexSM

WHY IS 3ABN SELLING A CLASS-A?
Because they have 16 of them and they can!  Spectrum Investor OTA Broadcasting (aka Michael Dell) Buys Charlotte NC Class-A W21CK-D For $1.1 Million

...

It goes on to assert that the station being sold is worth $90 million, is being sold for $1.1 million, and that there may be some sort of "back-end deal." I think the related agreements allowed 3ABN to continue using the station after the sale for at least a year, rent free.

Has 3ABN talked about any of this on the air?

The above also says that 3ABN owns 100 stations, some full-power, and 16 class A stations.

The other news item was sent by Google alerts this week and is at https://rbr.com/edge-spectrum-3abn-deal/

Edge Spectrum Seals 70-Station 3ABN Deal

The $3.2 million acquisition of some 60 LPTV stations and 10 LPTV construction permits by Edge Spectrum — a.k.a. EICB-TV NET — from a religious non-commercial broadcaster has officially moved forward, following a delay requested by the buyer.

As RBR + TVBR reported March 9, Three Angels Broadcasting in October 2016 agreed to sell a group of television stations to Edge Spectrum. But, Edge Spectrum — using the EICB-TV NET name in its Form 345 filing with the FCC — needed more time to secure its financing for the multi-million dollar deal. ...

Does all this mean that 3ABN is selling off most of its stations? Has 3ABN talked about any of this on the air or in its magazine or in other communications?
