It's just not Batchelors position that counts, it each individuals responsibility to listen and read scriptures and believe instead of adding and taking away to their own mind sets. You can always tell when one has a mind set on any one issue. It's brings out their talent of justifications using any hearsay books of opinions without true fact without end from every direction with much ridiculous devising.

A true believer of truth has only scripture with words as it is written.

This is the best talent of Satan as an example and easy to detect ones agenda doing the same thing. A true pastor or caretaker is a disinterested benevolence of love given.  An ordained minister is of religious, civil lawful duties over the flock instructed by Scriptures being men. Wifes of ordained ministers, were sometimes paid in SDA for much help to their husbands in their pastoring or ministering aided to their husbands.and that is what EGW thought should happen as wife gave as much time to  help their husbands. EGW gave her years as directed by Holy Spirit and ministering to the people FOR an instrument of Gods purpose. She was ordained of God and did not respect what men and women tried to change within SDA same as now. IF she did it would have went froward then and no confusion of what we are seeing now. She followed and knew scripture. She also had nothing to do with the women's movement that started back then.
