2012 Corporate Evangelism and Witnessing

Johann:
Quite important issues in this lesson.

Who decides what? Church Board or Members?

Some of our leaders feel uneasy when church members arrange meetings at times when they have also planned meetings and members are uncertain which one to attend.

princessdi:
A good "event planner" in charge of the church calendar should take care of such conflicts.

I believe the church in business session should decide on what evangelism is done.  More than anything else, it will help them to "own" it also and be more willing to work at it, be a part of it.  I generally do this with the women at the church in that I have a meeting to discuss what is to come.  It works really well, I get great support that way.

Johann:
Church Bulletin printed in a small church. Sabbath morning 5 minutes before the meeting is to begin a "professional" musician arrives and declares those hymns are unfit and should be changed.

Who is in charge?

Johann:
The preacher has spent much time to prepare a special sermon for his people. When he get to the church a person who knows everything has decided his visitor must get to the pulpit that day?

Who is in charge?

Johann:
A year ago the conference started plans for special youth activities during a special week, and all the participants are ready.

Later a bright youth discovers there is a more spiritual way of doing things and gets a greater part of the young people to take part in his activities.

Is this good for the church?
