Title: Anyone have these PACER documents?
Post by: Bob Pickle on November 08, 2008, 05:45:40 PM
I'm trying to put together a complete set of documents. Anyone have the following ones already downloaded from PACER for the case in Mass.?

1-2, 1-3, and any docs after 1-5.

Actually, 22 and 28 are sealed. We don't know why.

I do not quite understand these legal proceedings. Don't you, as being a part in the case, get all the documents involved?

Johann,

That is also my own question.

I'd like to have a complete set of what actually shows up on PACER.

I only get free copies of what is on PACER if I'm signed up to get them as part of the case. That didn't happen until January. And I think I missed a few even after that point in time.

Why were you not signed up before January?

Because I didn't go pro se until November, and then I had to get leave of the court, which I did on Dec. 14, and then I had to register and get5 approved after going through training.

We're talking about the difference of having a PACER account and ECF privileges. Just because you have a PACER account doesn't mean you can have free access to court documents of even you own case(s). You have to have ECF privileges.

I would think rather than having to spend money to acquire them through Pacer that you should be able to obtain a copy from the representative you retained before you began to represent yourself.

Like I said, I want to get a copy of what actually appears on PACER, as is. If someone already has a copy, I would love to have them pass them on to me.

I did not check the numbers, but I just noticed that quite a bit PACER is posted at 3ABNtalk.com

That is very true, Johann.  However, Ian is quite selective on just which documents she chooses to post there!
