Title: Tom Pavlinic's cases
Post by: Bob Pickle on May 10, 2010, 04:01:42 PM
I thought I'd see what I could find as far as cases Tom Pavlinic has been involved in. Here's one:

Five years for molester: William L. Harrison sentenced in sexual abuse case (http://www.exploreharford.com/news/2600/five-years-molester/)

That's fairly recent. Harrison could have gotten 25 years. Instead he got 10 years with 5 suspended.

Quote
Smith asked Plitt to sentence Harrison to the maximum 25 years, with all but 20 years suspended.

Harrison’s lawyer, Tom Pavlinic, said Harrison, who formerly owned one of Harford County’s largest property management firms, made a mistake.

“He has been, other than this one instance, an exemplary citizen,” Pavlinic told the judge. “He’s a father, a devoted faithful husband for 25 years. On this day he made a mistake.”

Anyone else able to find a case?

If the prosecutors recover the "insitutionalization" records of Tommy Ray Shelton when he was pastoring in the Commonwealth of Va and can get the son subpoenaed back from Knoxville with his medical records, Pavlinic will have a hard time explaining away a lifetime of predatory pedophilia and the demonizing of his victims.

Like OJ Simpson, we know the real verdict, regardless the wiley, sleezy, de-demonizing advocacy of Pavlinic and how he turns mere mortal jurors.

Remember, Tommy still has to face the day of judgement and unless we see significant reformation, that will be at the THIRD COMING, not the second!!!!

The attorney does play dirtry pool doesn't he? I would say that anyone that has been "touched" by TS should be careful of anything they recieve in the mail. Anything the least bit suspicious shoud be turned into an attorney. You never know what they might try to pull in the last hours.

It is interesting that Tom Pavlinic has subpoenaed the victim's mother to testify.

It appears as if the prosecution welcomes this move since it is expected to backfire on Tommy Shelton.

It also appears that the prosecution will welcome the appearance of other relatives who seem willing to testify.vIt might become an interesting case.

Just one more month. . .

Just one more month. . .

Given the experience of this battle hardened warrior, one must conclude he has seen the futility of defending against the well documented pedophilia of Tommy Ray Shelton. Best to limit the liability and the punishment with a plea bargain than to loose a bruising and futile battle...he gets to leave the field and let the civil counsellors to pick the bones of all the players that hid the truth and covered up the outrageous conduct. Anyone want to start building a list of potential co-conspirators and oppressors of the victims???

Now for the insurance claims...counsel has apparently negotiated the best possible deal he could and got a deal that is far better than I would have considered "justice", but, given the fiscal mess in Virginia, I am guessing the prosecutor looks at is as having "tagged" the miscreant and done so economically for the Commonwealth.

Now we get on with the civil issues...question for the insurers...do they settle or burn useless dollars trying to find a loophole.

If I were the adjuster...given that they already know the issues and have already seen the "evidence', I would recommend "good faith" negotiations...and that goes for "ALL" the parties.

The problem will be to segregate real victims from "wannabe's". There will almost invariably be more!!!

Gailon. Such is the case that is happening now.  I received a phone call today that ANOTHER victim came forward in Va. last week after he heard talks of a plea deal. He was very upset that Tommy was not going to get jail time.

After I received this information I checked if it was valid. It indeed is. I know someone on here will tell me to show proof. Nope, don't have too. Call the Fairfax detective, she will tell you!!!!!!

I wonder if Tom has received word of a possible law suit against his client.

I suppose Tom Pavlinic is still the defense lawyer?

As I understand it, he is more co-counsel at this point. I assume he is pro hac vice. Does it matter? The evidence is so overwhelming, not even Perry Mason and Gerry Spence could get him off!!!

Well, given his deteriorating health, if he deceases then his record would technically be untainted by a conviction...I believe that is the only way he will avoid conviction and jail-time, lo-o-o-n-g past due!!!

Problem is, 3ABN will not be the only church to suffer from the revelations of a trial...remember, he was a pastor for the Church of God and most particularly Dun Loring.

What percentage of cases has he won?

Given that Tommy has already admitted molesting the boys in question, would it be fair and just if Tommy got off the hook?
