Title: She Wanted to Win the Lottery
Post by: Gregory on December 22, 2011, 01:25:16 PM

The following was taken from the book: AMERICA'S DUMBEST CRIMINALS,  all true stories.

Alice as I shall call her noted that she was only one digit away from winning $20 on her Oregon lottery ticket.  This was too much for her and she had to be a winner.  So, with the stroke of a pen she changed the number and presented for her $20 winnings.  The clerk noted the change and called the police.  She was arested and charged.

It should be noted however, that the number she actually had on her lottery ticket was a $5,000 winning number.  By defacing the lottery ticket, she go nothing other than an arrest.
