Thanksgiving Day in America
« on: November 24, 2011, 08:13:27 AM »

Today is Thanksgiving Day in America with turkeys and trimmings. Possibly the greatest holiday of the whole year because many people are off from Wednesday afternoon until Monday morning. Great celebration? Why?

I am grateful to God for a living relationship with Him, where I can talk to Him about minor or major things in my life.

I am grateful for my own family -and my adopted family. It feel good when also my extended family calls me Dad, or Grandpa, even though I have never asked them to do it.

I am grateful for friends near and far away, all over the world. Friends who trust me - and I trust them.

So Happy Thanksgiving and God's richest blessings.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

It's been a beautiful day here, clear, and just now a spectacular sunset.

So good to be with friends and family!

Tak! Takk! Tack! These words are not just random sounds spelled differently. They are actual words in Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish. In Germanic languages the spelling changes from one language to the next, but the meaning remains the same: Thank you! -- Read more.

And in German:  Danke! Closer to Thank!
