It would be nice if the Adventist church would give its members an official "heads up" about Tommy's situation so they won't feel they have been deceived when they hear about it elsewhere and perhaps it wouldn't shake their faith as much that way. So many seem to think the church is there to protect them and that if they need to be warned the church will do it. Maybe "the church" is waiting for the sentencing?

After the massive silence and resultant complicity of "the church" regarding 3ABN matters, I would be surprised if they came out with any statement, whether it was before or after sentencing.

I totally agree.  It won't happen.  The rug of "quiet resolution" is too wide and the broom too big.

Perhaps the church should ask their legal department about the possible consequences of doing nothing and of their "massive silence and resultant complicity".
