I read that Senator Kennedy has a type of brain tumor called glioblastoma.  My best friend was diagnosed with this last summer and died three weeks after her diagnosis. The doctors said it was useless to operate because within a few weeks it would come back as large as ever and the operation was likely to cause loss of many body functions and much suffering on her part. His advice to her husband was "take her home, love her and take lots of pictures of her."
